The Electric Reliability Council of Texas issued a power alert shortly after 9’oclock this morning for most of Texas. The emergency was declared after power reserves fell below 2000 megawatts, which could result in rolling blackouts.

The WFAA report indicates that operations returned to normal about 45 minutes later.
