Rapper and YouTube personality Freddy E committed suicide last week, the New York Daily New reports.
The Seattle-based MC, whose real name was Freddy E. Buhl, died from from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to a Facebook message posted by his father, Frederic Douglass Buhl.
“Today, our son, Frederick Eugene Buhl (@freddy_E), age 22 years old, took his own life with a rifle shot to the head,” it reads. “Our family is saddened beyond words; our loss is great; this tragedy is enormous and unforeseen.”

Numerous reports have speculated that the 22-year-old killed himself after his breakout from rapper Honey Cocaine. The Toronto-based rapper took to Twitter to set the record straight:
The talented artist was widely know for his YouTube channel, JerkTV. The channel has more than 70,000 subscribers and 7.4 million views as of Monday, Jan. 7. His last video was published two days ago. It was a spoken word video titled, “Ignorance.”
