Chris Rock Catches Heat Over ‘Fourth Of July’ Tweet

Comedian Chris Rockhas never has been one to bite his tongue for anyone or thing. That has gotten him into some trouble with media pundits and conservative white Americans.

Rock tweeted a pointed joke that hasn’t been taken too well outside of the black community. Chris Rock tweeted, “Happy white peoples independence day the slaves weren’t free but I’m sure they enjoyed fireworks.”

Though many of Rock’s fans laughed the remark off and chalked it up to Chris Rock being his crazy self, a lot of offended media outlets are looking to retaliate against Chris and expose whatever skeletons they believe he has buried in his closet. They may have some trouble because Chris Rock is fairly open about the highs and lows of his life and career.

Chris Rock has balked at the thought of apologizing for the joking tweet. Rock has not done what most celebrities do when they get into trouble. Chris Rock has not deleted the controversial tweet. Keep it here as we will follow the continued fall out behind Chris Rock’s tweets.
