When you think of working out golf is the last sport that comes to mind. If Dad wants to spend his Father’s Day weekend playing golf, believe it not he is getting in his exercise, all that walking has to be good. There is a new study from Sweden’s Karolinska Institute that measured health benefits for golfers. Golfer’s had a 40 percent lower death rate than non-golfers of the same gender and age.
One study suggests that golfing a 18-hole course while carrying his own bag burned 721 calories. There is a benefit even with caddy you still burn 613 calories. Wow …who knew?
