Here is one for the history books. Next year Texas A & M Cadets will have a new Commander. Marquis Alexander will be the first black to lead the Aggie Corp of Cadets.

School officials said,  “This is a young man that has all the right qualities.”

Texas A & M opened it’s  doors in 1876 and Blacks were not allowed until 87 years later. The first African-American didn’t join the corp until 1964.

    Congratulations  Commander Alexander.
